Sarbani RathThe instructors for this course are Sarbani Rath and Ajay Zharotia. They are certified Jaimini Scholars of the Devaguru Brhaspati Centre. They will teach the course in exactly the same format as taught by Pt. Sanjay Rath in his Jaimini Scholar programme. This programme follows the paramparik teachings of Pt. Rath and involves spiritual practices. We expect the applicants to be receptive to the parampara and to the heavy spirituality aspects and practice this course demands.

Group 2: A Course on Jaimini Maharishis Upadesa Sutra
Devaguru Brhaspati Centre announces a 18 day course on Adhyaya 1 of the Jaimini Upadesa Sutras. The classes will be held in 12th to 29th November 2010 at New Delhi. The course is intensive and in-depth in a manner that will transform the way students think and process astrological information. It will also be the first of four courses to cover each adhyaya.

Veda Vyāsa and Jaimini
Parāśara says, "Know that Kṛṣṇa Dvaipāyana Veda Vyāsa is none other than Nārāyaṇa himself." In each Manvantar, Viṣṇu took the form of Vyāsa in order to segregate the Vedas for the welfare of the world. The form Viṣṇu takes in order to divide the Vedas is known as Veda Vyāsa. Viṣṇu did this in each Dvāpara Yuga, and therefore appeared 28 times to classify the Vedas, which would merge into an unidentifiable whole after each pralaya. In each of his Vyāsa incarnations, Viṣṇu had different names such as Swayambhu Manu, Prajāpati Manu, Uśamā, Bṛhaspati, Bharadwāj, Gautama, Mṛtyu, Ṛkṣa (better known as Vālmikī), Parāśara, Jātukarṇa etc. The 28th Vyāsa is Parāśara’s son, Kṛṣṇa Dvaipāyana. The next Vyāsa is slated to be Aśvathāmā, the son of Droṇa.
